Facebook Perspectives

 My Social Networking Journey

I used to use Myspace when I was a sophomore in high school. My page was pretty simple because it required to much work (lol) but I still enjoyed using it because it was a way to connect with others. I found out about Facebook through my older siblings because both of them had one, so I wanted to get one too. My sister refused to let me join because at the time it was only for "college students." I found out through one of my friends that the only way you could be on Facebook as a high school student was through an invite. The same friend then invited me and I soon stopped going to Myspace because I felt more mature being on Facebook.
Now that Facebook has expanded to others outside of college, majority of everyone I know has a Facebook page. I refuse to let my parents get on Facebook because I don't agree with older people trying to become a part of our social means.

I Like!
One Facebook page that I enjoy viewing and visit regularly is my boyfriend's page. Sometimes he'll write very inspiring statuses that not only encourages me, but others as well. He has a Tumblr, which is connected to his Facebook page so whatever blog he posts from Tumblr is seen on Facebook as well. With this being Black History Month, he likes to put posts about different black leaders. Well here's his page you can check it out Kelly Dawsey!
